When professor George Callahan comes to New York for the annual Ernest Hemingway Birthday party for his first novel, The Sun Also Rises, he is responsible for bringing back a rare copy of the book. But when he runs into (literally) redhead Darcie Davenport, and she loses the book, the pair have 48 hours to get it back, or George will lose everything he’s ever worked for. But when the weekend is over, will they find the book, or love instead?
The theme of living life to the fullest is stamped all over this book. George feels that his life is dull and colorless, but after spending time with Darcie, she has taken him into a world he never knew existed. Sometimes in all our lives, we need to step out from the routine, and see what life has to offer that we never knew about.
Ivan Scott lives in Atlanta with his ginger haired wife, two teenagers and a rat terrier named Beesley. After years of rejections, he is now up four books, with more on the way. His hope is that someone will put a picture of him in the dictionary under persistence.
